A Peek at our Week! March 10-15

Another AWESOME week in Pre-K! We are continuing to read and learn about ladybugs. We wrote a class book using our sight words and facts about ladybugs. We can't wait to share it with you at Rise and Shine! 

Our letter focus is letter Ul We made an umbrella with raindrops for our craft activity. We hope it rains!

We had a visit from Miss Ladybug and her Custer County 4H Extension Friends. We thank them so much! They brought us LADYBUGS to observe, touch, and set free to help our flowers! 

A Peek At our Week!! March 3-7

We had a wonderful week!! Thanks for peeking!! Our letter focus was letter T. We made a fun tree.  We have really done awesome on our sounds. Continue to review them. We are rehearsing a song we will share with you too, SuperSonic letter sounds by Stephen Fite. We are continuing to practice our counting. We are making number sets of objects to 10. 

We are learning about ladybugs and reading "The Grouchy Ladybug" by Eric Carle.

We have ladybug larvae in our classroom to observe!

A peek at our week February 24-28.

We continued to read Dr.Seuss's books this week. We read The Cat in the Hat as our shared reading. We enjoyed rhyming with new books each day. We read Fox in Socks on Wednesday and had a crazy sock day. You can see our crazy socks in a video we made. Go to this link.

Our letter focus was letter s. We made silly snakes at our art center.

During our tech time we read our sight word book on the Educreations app. We will share our stories with you via email! 

We ended our week by celebrating Dr.Seuss's birthday having a special Cat in the Hat treat.

A peek at our week February 18-21

We began our Dr.Seuss theme this week. We read the Cat in the Hat as our shared reading book. We added new books each day. We love to rhyme! Our letter focus was the letter R. We made rabbits at our art center. We enjoyed learnng how to code at tech time. You can download the Kodable app to reinforce this awesome skill. 

A Peek at Our Week February 10-14

We had a LOVELY week this week! We enjoyed showing our friends ways we care about them. We used actions to show them throughout the week and ended by giving them special valentines. Our letter focus this week was letter Q. We learned its special sound and rule. We never us Q without a U. 

We made special Valentines for our family to show them how much we love them by making them a special tag with a QR code going to a Valentine Video to show them we love them. You can see it at this link:

We had a fun week! We are learning our numbers in Pre-K and counted to 100 many times all week.

Nursery Rhyme Day

A Peek at our Week...January 21-24

It was a short week but an awesome week. We finished up our Little Bird Tales. We can't wait to share them at our PK Family Tech Night. Don't forget to join us! We are learning our letter and sounds focussing on letter N this week making an N with numbers! We enjoyed learning new nursery rhymes and ended our week with a fun Nursery Rhyme day! 

A Peek at Our Week...Jan.13-17th.

We had a SUPER week!! We began our week attending the Stephen Fite Concert. We became SuperHeroes of Knowledge! We focused on letter M and the sound it makes making mountains covered with snow. We explored with magnets making magnetic creatures. Mr.Roger and Mr.Vernon brought us a big bucket of bolts, screws, and washers! We were so excited! Our grown up PK girls came and helped us during tech time. We are working hard on our our digital stories to share at our PK Family Tech Night. We ended the week with our FaceTime Reading Buddies reading to us! What a great week we had in PK! 

A peek at our week January 6-10

It was great to be back!! One of the best things about Pre-K is the children are excited to be back in school! We began by reviewing our letters, sounds, and numbers. We focused on letter L. We are continuing to work on number sets at math time. But it is sooooo cold outside!!! BRRRR!!!

A Peek at our Week December 16-19th

We had a very busy week!! Our Pre-K class is the happiest place at Christmas time! We are learning and having fun at the same time! We had our parents come to our classroom for a sing along and then had our Christmas Cookie Party which was so much fun and delicious! We ended our week with pajama day and Christmas Caroling around Clinton. We started saying thank you  to our Nance cooks, custodians, and secretaries. Then, we  went to the City Hall, visited our Washington school where we will go someday, sang to the best Red Tornado fan in Clinton, Mrs.Betty Fry, and ended saying Merry Christmas to our Board Office administration. We ended our day being treated by Mr.Stratton and Mrs.Bengs with a special singalong and Frosty the Snowman. We are ready for Christmas Break! Merry Christmas to you!

A Peek at our week! December 9-13

Sorry your peek is is a little late....But, it is a week worth telling about! Here is a peek at our week!

We are busy busy making our Christmas Surprise for our families. We are still learning so many things too! We are learning about the letter K and it's sound /k/. We are reviewing our numbers to 10, sorting, and patterning. Math is so much fun when we are reviewing all of these fun skills! We are reading the Gingerbread Man and doing exciting activities with him!

A Peek at our Week! December 2-6

We have had a great week! We are reading the Gingerbread Man and doing fun activities with the book. We are learning the letter J and the sound it makes. Look how many students begin with the letter J!  We also made a cool jellyfish with the letter J. We were so excited to get to put snow on our weather board! We are reviewing our numbers to 10. During math time, we decorated a gingerbread boy counting buttons.

We have a new friend in our class. His name is Henry. Henry is an elf. He is tight with Santa Claus so we are being especially good so Henry will share what good students we are in Pre-K!
